NY: Random House, 1967. SIGNED. NF/NF. 1st/1st. This is a true first edition with points.* Signed by Styron on the half-title page. The book is tightly bound and square with good corners and clean unmarred boards. Hinges slightly loose from reading. Textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, highlighting or marks and not BCE, ex-library or remaindered. Mild edge soil to bottom page edges. The dust jacket is unclipped. Vibrant red not faded. Slight bubbling on front panel near spine and crease on inside back flap. Protected in a Brodart cover. Author's third book. Winner of the 1968 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
*First Printing is stated on the copyright page. Boards are black cloth with silver lettering, top stain, and no book club blind stamp on the bottom right corner of the back. Price of $6.95 is found on the upper right corner of the front dust jacket flap, and "10/67" is on the bottom.
