About This Item

London: Chatto & Windus, 1928. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+. E. McKnight Kauffer. Small 8vo. Pp. 102. Title-page vignette by E. McKnight Kauffer. A signed copy of an edition limited to 550 copies, this is #102. Marbled endpapers over grey-blue cloth binding, An especially bright copy preserved in a VG dust jacket with the upper left corner of the front panel slightly crimped.

Acton's first published prose work. This was Acton-bibliographer Neil Ritchie's copy. A typed note laid-in illuminates a TS Eliot reference used by Acton, that of "Princess Volupine." A solid piece of Actoniana with keen association. RITCHIE: A-4. Bookseller inventory E061975F.
