Slightly tanned and foxed end papers. Red mottled cut edges; the top edge is also tanned. Very good, tight text block and except for prelims and end pages not tanned or foxed.. With black and white illustrations throughout.

Ex army library book ( Camp Comandant, H.Q. 10th Division and St David's In The Desert, Kantara). In quite good half green leather and grey patterned boards, blind stamped titles to spine. The boards very tight and flat; rather worn and the leather spine is cracked along sides and worn on ends. There is a faded library label to rear with request to return when read. The end papers are white and clean and not the originals. Library stamp on front paste down, which has only partially been replaced. Age-toned cut edges. The text block is tight, straight and lightly tanned, mostly around the edges. With 14 b/w illustrations with tissue guards, and smaller b/w illustrations throughout. Good plus condition. No dedications.Without jacket.
