Novel translated from the French by Dorothy Bussy; author's Journal from the Counterfeiters translated, and with annotations, by Justin O'Brien. Includes considerable additional material at rear of volume. --- In Toledano spine 12 / green cloth / blindstamped ml cover device / gilt-stamped spine titling / Fujita brown & yellow endpapers / jacket style l, verso is blank. Likely published c.1967 (though 1955 date appears in book). ML #327.1. --- An about Near Fine copy: bright, crisp and unmarked. Dust jacket bears original $2.45 flap price, w/small tears and chafing to edges as well as a little rubbing; in removable, archival mylar protector.; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; ix, 467 pages .
