London: Macmillan, 1940. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher’s original blue cloth lettered gilt at the spine. Spine slightly faded otherwise a clean VG copy. In the RARE D/W priced 7s 6d net to the inside flap as called for. The D/W is a near fine example with two tiny triangular chips - one to the top edge of the back panel and the other to the top left hand corner of the spine removing the HE of THE. Still a lovely copy in D/W. Uncommon.
