New York, Montreal, & Boston: D. & J. Sadlier & Co., 1866. Michael Banim (1796-1874) and his brother John (1798-1842) together wrote a series of "national tales' under the pseudonym O'Hara. This particular title was written by Michael alone in 1828. This is a Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy of the First Edition Thus. No publication date, but presumed by WorldCat to be 1866-1869 (per Biblioteque National). Green cloth binding with fancy blindstamped design featuring an Irish harp. The spine stamping is gilded. Clean text; 435 pages; scattered minor foxing. Despite their popularity in the 19th century, works by the Banims are relatively uncommon. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Thus.. Decorative Cloth. Very Good Plus/No Jacket.
