William Heinemann, 1949. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. 229 pages. Gold lettering with red decorations on the spine, illustration, in red, on the front cover. Corners are bumped, edges are lightly shelf worn. Faint erased marks on the top of the front free endpaper. Dust jacket is protected in Brodart, is tattered along the edges; missing 2' on the lower part of the spine and the hinges are very weak. A very good copy of this scarce Wallace title about a young woman who went to China. Illustrated with five b/w drawings.
