A fine copy of this elusive hardback edition of this a near facsimile reprint of the two Golden Cockerel Press volumes with a new Introduction by Michael Haag. It is an elusive edition and was in fact a pirate edition originally published before copyright had expired. This though a useful edition for those unable to obtain the GCP edition of 1936. This comprises the thesis on military architecture of the crusading kingdoms, submitted in 1910 the original title was "The influence of the Crusades on European military architecture -- to the end of the XIIth Century". by T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia), together with a volume of his letters regarding his visits to castles as a young man. 224pp..
