Kansas City MO: Brown-White-Lowell Press, 1942. Yellow cloth, color illustrated paper panel applied to front, 64pp. 57 poems for children, illustrated in b&w. Cloth moderately soiled, front panel bright & clean, covers fore edges slightly bowed vertically, light foxing on endpapers with partially erased inked name on front pastedown, text generally quite crisp & clean with just a few scattered foxing spots. Mrs. Williams was an accomplished Kansas City commercial artist during the depression when the Sunday Editor of the Kansas City Star asked her to do a children's feature. In 1932, the Cuddles and Tuckie cartoon feature was introduced, was soon syndicated nation-wide, and ran until 1960. Several collected works have been published.
