Sono presenti le sedici satire di Giovenale e le sei di Flacco. Testo latino con note di Thomas Farnaby (1575-1647). Questa edizione venne pubblicata per la prima volta a Londra nel 1612 alla quale seguì questa di Amsterdam nel 1630 Bellissimo frontespizio figurato con satiro e numerosi simboli teatrali forse incisa da De Blois. Antiche note manoscritte. In discrete condizioni ma completo. Copertina in piena pelle coeva in mediocri condizioni generali con usure e parti mancanti ai margini e dorso. Piatti quasi staccati. Legatura in discrete condizioni con lievi rotture. Frontespizio staccato. Pagine in buone condizioni con fioriture e bruniture.Beautiful edition of 1630 of this collection of satires by the roman poets Decimo Giugnio Giovenale and Aulo Persio Flacco. Inside sixteen satires by Giovenale and six satires by Flacco. Latin text with notes by Thomas Farnaby (1575-1647). This edition was published for the first time in London in 1612 then in Amsterdam in 1630. Very beautiful figurated title page with satire and different theatre symbols perhaps engraved by De Blois. Ancient manuscripted notes. In fair conditions but complete. Full leather coeval cover in poor general conditions with wearings and missing parts in the edges and spine. Plates are partially detached. Binding in fair conditions with slight cracks. Title page is detached. Inside pages are in good conditions with foxings and yellowings.
