This book is a colorful chronicle of this remarkable epoch which begins with the elaborate court masques of sixteenth-century France and concludes with the spectacular productions staged by Maurice Bejart's Ballet of the Twentieth Century. Included are lively historical sketches of the great choreographers, the legendary prima ballerinas, and the best known danseurs. 170 illustrations with 1/3rd in color. A clean very presentable copy.
