New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1966. Stated First American Edition, 2nd printing 8vo size cloth bound hardcover with dust jacket; 256 deckle edged pages. From jacket: "Eberlin, the central figure of (this) novel, is himself a completely believable character, largely because he is so frighteningly normal. Of average height, thin in body and, to his disdain, 36 years old, he is a hermetic dandy who devotes himself wholeheartedly only to the fetish of self - priding himself in his clothes, which he chooses with exquisite care, his books, his three double-barreled Fowling Pieces by Manton, his collection of old Sevres porcelain and his admiration of the legendary George Brummell..." Jacket has wear, edgewear, half inch tear to top right corner and some minor chipping at head and heel of spine, which are also bumped.. Cloth. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
