VG contents; rubbing to back cover, light bumps to front corners, and a bit of age toning to fore edge of front cover; ink (?) spot on page 21, but text still determinable; generally a very nice copy.. Color-illus. paper/boards; red cloth spine. Color-illus. end papers. 59 pp. with color illus. throughout. No dust jacket. A delightful rendering of the tale of Daniel Boone, illustrated with vibrant drawings by Feodor Rojankovsky. Includes 10 full-page illustrations as well as numerous smaller ones within the text, all in bright color. In one chapter, there are two pages showing images of footprints of animals in the snow - beaver, rabbit squirrel, fox, and several others. Includes the Battle of Boonesborough, the battle of the Blue Licks, some geography, and more. A bit of everything!
