Removed from Herring & Longacre, National Portrait Gallery of Distinguished Americans, Volume 1. An 8-page biography of Webster removed from the National Portrait Gallery volume and rebound separately in a variegated maroon leatherette with Webster's name gilt on front and the engraving of Webster from the large volume tipped in on a clean new endpaper. The slim resultant volume measures 11 by 7 inches. Condition is GOOD with foxing in the margins of the original leaves. For more on the National Portrait Gallery series, see Howes, H 443.
