Jacket spine lightly toned, with a rub mark to head. A crisp, clean copy. Near fine. In 1876 A mysterious and prolific Danube fisherman who wears dark glasses and dyes his hair becomes the centre of an international investigation into a criminal gang exploiting the political unrest in the Ottoman Empire. Could there be a more intriguing premise to a story? First published in French in 1908.
