Sampson Low, Marston & Co, 1890. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Complete 2 volume set. The boards are shelf rubbed and edge worn, but remain strong and legible in spite of this. Internally, both volumes are foxed throughout, but the legibility and clarity of the text within is not impacted in any way. There are previous owner's and retailer's plates on the end pages of both volumes, and Volume II has some very light insect damage on the back end page, which does not extend into the rest of the book. Both volumes are complete with all plates and maps, though there are some small tears on some of the maps within. Both books are securely bound and in good condition considering their age. JK.
