New York: Scribners, 1857. Hardcover. Good + overall. Michael Simpson Culbertson, (1819 - 1862), West Point graduate of 1839, became a Presbyterian Missionary in China in Ningbo and Shanghai. Culbertson worked on a revision of the Old Testament, the Shanghai revision of Chinese Scriptures (Shanghai, 1851). Small 8vo, 235pp. Original gray cloth with gilt title at spine. Spine sunned, an ink mark base of spine. A few light pencil markings at rear end papers.
