First edition first printing of these two short stories. Orignally Amis' The Darkwater Hall Mystery was written as a 1974 television movie called Dr. Watson and the Darkwater Hall Mystery starring Edward Fox as Dr. Watson. Appearing for the first time in print here in 1978. Was later published as a limited edition novella later in 1978. This is the first appearance of The Faint by Updike. I could not find it listed in any of the collections so it might be uncollected. In near fine condition.
