About This Item
New York, NY John Day Company, 1969. Hardcover First Edition (1969), unstated, but implied: no subsequent printings noted, in accordance with John Day's customary practice. First Edition (1969), unstated, but implied: no subsequent printings noted, in accordance with John Day's customary practice. Very Good+ in Very Good+ to Near Fine DJ: Both book and DJ show indications of very careful use. The Book shows just a touch of shelving wear to the lower extremities with a touch of crimping to the heel of the backstrip; the binding is very slightly cocked off square, but remains perfectly secure; the text is clean. Free of any creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and minor flaws. Bright and clean. Not far from 'As New'. The DJ shows only a touch of rubbing to the panels: a hint of sunning to the red portion of the jacket design at the backstrip (the black and blue titles thereon remain bold and clearly legible); the price has not been clipped; mylar-protected. Close to "As New". NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.5 x 5.85 x 1 inches). 224 pages. Liberally illustrated in black & white. Language: English. Weight: 13.6 ounces. Hardback with DJ.
