About This Item
London UK, Pall Mall Press, 1963, hardcover, 168pp, first UK edition, Very Good in Fair dustjacket. Straight, tight and clean, bookstore stamp on front endpaper, slight spine end bumps. Dustjacket unclipped with original price, rubs, edge chips, creases, short edge tears, in new Brodart sleeve. An inter-racial affair triggers the secession of Natal from the Republic of South Africa. The resulting chaos provides a perfect background against which to satirise the many political types who abound in South African politics.
