In custom green cloth clamshell case with red ruled gilt particulars to spine as well as gilt-stamped notation "Abel Chapman's annotated copy." Lightly deckled edges; top edge gilt. Bookplate of noted naturalist Abel Chapman to front pastedown. Chapman's occasional notations penciled throughout text. E.g., page 17 where he comments on the author's salmon events occurring in June: " 'June'? / Impossible / A.C." Chapman's notes indexed in penciled autograph to front and rear fly papers. Subsequent owner's business card unceremoniously affixed to front fly.; The Sportsman's Library; 8vo l; xiii, 298 pages; All shipments through USPS insured Priority Mail.
