SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR under his printed name on the Title page. The paper is UNIFORMLY cream/browning as usual, due to the acid toning (VERY light tanning here) with this type of paper over time, but the endpapers were printed on a different quality paper and are nice & clean. The endpapers are printed on a different paper are white and as new. The page fore-edges are very clean, but the top edge is beginning to brown more deeply with age and the bottom edge the same. Apart from this the book is As NEW with NO other Inscriptions or Marks. "Ex-convict and aspiring academic, Franny Roote, has started writing enigmatic letters to DCI Peter Pascoe. DS Edgar Wield, intervening in a suspected kidnapping, takes a vulnerable rentboy under his wing, and young DC Bowler is looking forward to a weekend away with his girlfriend... Detective Chief Superintendent Andy Dalziel, lording it over his team, is famed for his omniscience. But even he is unable to foresee the disaster towards which they are all tumbling…". Apart from the almost inevitable light tanning to the top and bottom of the page edges only, this is an EXCELLENT unmarked AS New, Signed, First Edition, First Impression. See Images. ; Large, Thick, 8vo 9" - 10" tall; Signed by Author .
