Van Velzer of Foolscap Press, "Desert Dreams" tells of the adventures of Tommy, a young tumbleweed, and his unlikely companions Dusty, a fashionable dust devil, and the crow Crawfoot; it is a tale of exploration and companionship through the eyes of youth, a story of growth realised through the whimsical inhabitants of the desert. Peggy Gotthold, also of Foolscap Press, illustrates this work with an array of gently desert scenes, the soft colours and line work capturing the eloquence of the story. ___DESCRIPTON: Full orange and red Japanese cloth, with wraparound paper label with illustrations of desert landscapes and black lettering on the spine, cream endpapers, double-spread title page with illustration of a desert landscape in green and tan and black lettering, illustrations by Peggy Gotthold printed in multiple colours throughout; Stymie Light type, Legion Letterpress paper, oblong octavo size (8" by 9"), pagination: [1-4] 5-127 [128-131], one of 185 copies, this number 77, signed by Lawrence G.
