Red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Dustjacket illustrated by Ronald Serle, with white coloured titles to the front panel and black and white coloured titles to the back strip. This is the story of Dr Philip Bloom and his wife who are married during the 70 day siege of Singapore and who were later interned in separate camps as prisoners of war of the Japanese. The book centres mainly around the activities and conditions of the Changi military camp. Softening, rubbing and a little fraying of the back strip edges and book corners.
