This book is in very good condition. There is little to no wear on the front, back, spine and edges of the cover boards. There is minor bumping on the corners and staining on the cover boards. The previous owners name is affixed to the inside of the front cover board. The pages are yellowing but clear of any markings.

"The name Deuteronomy, by which the book is generally known in English, goes back to the great translation of the Old Testament, the so-called Septuagint. In Deut.17.18 I this translation The Hebrew word for 'copy' was mistakenly understood in the sense of 'second law' ( beside the law of Sinai). Methodical scholarly research into this book could begin only when it was approved conclusively by De Wette (1805) That this part of the printer to she must be considered on its own inform delivery point of you and has nothing to do with the great sources of the Pentateuch, Yahwist, the Elohist and Priestly Documents.
