Paper, light rubbing and corner creasing, internally clean, tight and very good. One of the first books on development economics by a gifted former member of the Indian Civil Service. Maurice Zinkin (1915-2002) passed the ICS exam with one of the highest scores ever recorded serving there until Partition and then staying on another thirteen years partly in the government and partly in business. He achieved a high reputation for integrity and was later honored with an O.B.E..
