Spine is cloth and is chipped at top and bottom. Howes K244. Two of the earliest maps of America. Kohl was a German travel writer, historian and geographer. This work was published after a five year trip in America where he prepared maps for the U. S. governmant as well as two reports for the U.S. Coast Survey. Very scarce.
