About This Item

(Cape Town: Human & Rousseau, 1963). Loosely inserted typescript card with the message "Met die beste groete en wense van Die skrywer". 8vo; original red cloth, lettered in black on spine; dustwrapper; pp. 198; plate. Dustwrapper edgeworn, partially sunned and a bit foxed; endpapers, outermost leaves and edges a somewhat foxed. Good. Afrikaans text. Holmer Johanssen was the pseudonym of Johan Frederik Holleman (1915-2001), whose slim output attracted critical acclaim. - Kannemeyer: Die Afrikaanse Literatuur 1652-2004, p. 142 .
