David Spalding has been involved with dinosaurs since he became Head Curator of Natural History at the Provincial Museum of Alberta in 1967. He later helped plan the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology. His previous books include Dinosaur Hunters: A World-Wide History of Discovery . He lives on Pender Island, British Columbia.
