Fair+/good– overall condition. 1904 First Edition, New York: Fleming H. Revell. Hardcover. Maroon boards with decorative embossing. Gilt on spine. No DJ. Previous owners' names inscribed on ffep. Text is free of marks, underlining, and highlighting. Tanning of pages throughout. Small piece torn from lateral edge of p 39; gutter between pp 60 & 61 and pp 108 & 109 is somewhat weakened. Superficial creasing to upper corner of pp 127 – 147. Crease/small tear to upper corner (near spine) of pp 205 to the end of the book. Slight discoloration/dried glue of lower spine (where private library label removed??). Moderate cover wear with sound bumping of corners and slight bowing of both boards.
