François Mauriceau was a 17th-century obstetrician who, in 1668, published the first edition of his famed "Treatise on the Diseases of Pregnant Women and Childbirth". This book was one of the most important books on the modern sciences of obstetrics including helping develop techniques for breech deliveries.

This 1752 English edition was published in London by Cox and Clarke and features 10 impressive engravings depicting female anatomy, fetuses, and delivery tools.
