New edition, complete in one volume. Adorned with a beautifully engraved vignette to the title page, as well as two further plates, one of which is coloured. Perhaps Southey's most enduring contribution to literary history is the children's classic The Story of the Three Bears, the original Goldilocks story, which first saw print in Southey's prose collection The Doctor. Rebound in a maroon cloth binding with gilt detailing to the front board. Externally, some rubbing and bumping to the cloth, as well as sunning and wear to the spine. Both hinges are mildly strained. Internally, generally firmly bound and bright, with only the odd spot. Neat ink signature to both the front free endpaper and the half title. Binder's label to the rear pastedown. Good
