A Dog Day or The Angel in the House

by Emanuel, Walter

Condition: Very Good

Illustrated by Cecil Aldin [1870-1935] well known as a sport related and animal illustrator. The illustrations in this book are typical of his style and are presented as 28 full page apparently charcoal and chalk illustrations on an ochre ground. This is a day in the life of a rather mischievous dog and his adventures and exploits are described and illustrated. This is the new 'cheap' edition. Paper covered boards with tan brown backstrip. Unpaginated [58 pp]. 28x22 cm. Rebacked with replacement backstrip but retaining plain endpapers. Edges rubbed, grubbiness to boards. Some brown spotting to endpapers. Nice book and great for dog lovers!
