Toronto: MacMillan, 1962. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Good. 8vo. SIGNED and dated Nov. 1962 by author to title page. Maroon cloth boards with gold lettering to spine. Endpapers are photographic reproductions of census ledgers. Reproduction of newspaper announcement to verseo of flyleaf. Frontis. picture of the Donnelly residence and four members of the family. Bumping to spine ends, slight staining to top and fore edge of text block. Dust jacket has several chips and short tears to head, foxing and damp staining, bumping to top edge and spine foot. Flaps are cropped but price is intact. The true story of the brutal murders of James Donnelly and his family near Lucan, Ontario, in 1879-80.
