New York: Viking, 1940. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good+/Very Good+. Very clean turquoise cloth boards with gold lettering on spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Illustrated endpapers. Small previous owner name and date near bottom of front free endpaper. 246 pgs. DUSTJACKET is clean with a few very tiny spots, slight age-toning. Top front inner flap is price clipped (tiny edge of price still showing). Slight edge wear & very shallow chipping at spine edges. Enclosed in new archival quality mylar cover. An imaginative fantasy about a door at the back of a closet that opens into a strange other world. Scarce book. 8vo. Children's.
