Green ribbed cloth boards with blind-stamped decoration on front and rear boards and spine, stamped gold lettering on cover and spine. Slightest hint of surface wear to spine corners, no wear-through or fraying. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with clean endpapers; no names, writing or bookplates. Translated by Alexander Teixeira de Mattos. 348 pages. Sixteen essays on everything from the wrath of a bee to old-fashioned flowers and "Our Friend, the Dog.".
