A scarce copy of Dr Richard Grey's exploration of memory systems, 'Memoria Technica, or Method of Artificial Memory' in a pleasing and smart leather binding. A leather bound copy of Grey's famous work. Richard Grey, born in 1696, was the Archdeacon of Bedford from 1757, as well as an author. He is best known for his work 'Memoria Technica, or Method of Artificial Memory', where he creates a new system for remembering. This work would later inspire the Mnemonic major system. Previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown, 'Ex Libris K. K Wood'. Condition: In a half leather binding, with cloth covered boards. Rubbing to the spine, to the joints and to the extremities. Previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown. Binders label to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean, with some minor spotting to some pages. The odd handling mark throughout. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed.
