Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, light edge bumps, dampstain to rear panel and flap, in new Brodart sleeve. Five plays by the Russian dramatist focused on Lenin's role in organizing the Communist Party network, leading the Russian Revolution, and the formation of the Soviet Union. Shatrov's plays about Lenin became the most frequently staged plays in all of the USSR during the reign of Leonid Brezhnev. Contents include five plays: Bolsheviks, The Brest Peace, Blue Horses on Red Grass, Thus Shall We Conquer!, and Onwards...Onwards...Onwards!, as well as an interview with the author 'History is a Factual Drama' and an afterword by Dr. Yuri Sharapov: 'Mikhail Shatrov's Studies of Lenin'.
