Book has clean pages that are tight to binding. Bumped and worn corners and edges. No underlining or highlighting. Bookplate on inside of front pastedown and inscription of former owner on front flyleaf.

Clean except for a brief gift inscription opposite the title page; binding but secure, if showing some stitches; full green cloth cover has inward turns and a few frayed threads at corners, small edge tears in the fabric at the spine ends, and three small, pale patches, one on the front and two on the rear, along with mild dimming of the gilt titles and decorations, otherwise well-kept. 271pp. Year stamped in gilt on the spine predates the date on the title page. Much reprinted and often handsomely presented, this edition is attractive but not too fancy for reading.; 16mo.
