Octavo, 7 3/4" tall, ix + 252 pages + 9 b&w illustrated plates (accounted for), gilt top fore-edge, gilt titles on light blue cloth, publisher's name at the base of the spine, illustrator's name not given. A good copy only of the first edition, with general shelf wear and rubbing to the cloth at the edges, front panel cloth discolored, back strip darkened and fraying at top and bottom; BUT interior very good, clean, sturdy, hinges and binding solid, paper moderate to lightly yellowed with little foxing, and an old catalog listing slip laid in at the back endpaper as well as a number stamp. Lacking dust jacket. This copy is worthy of binding restoration and priced accordingly.
