New York: Boni & Liveright, 1928. Original black cloth spine with gilt lettering and decoration. Boards covered with patterned batik paper. Small leather bookplate on front pastedowns with offsetting on ffeps. Set 165 of 2050 signed with name of the publisher. Publisher's Notice, Vol. 1, said plates for the 24 Barton illustrations were to be destroyed after printing. Books in very good condition; nondescript grayish board slipcases are soiled and splitting but have protected the books well. . Limited/Numbered. Cloth Backed Paper Covered Bds. Very Good/Slipcase Poor. Illus. by Ralph Barton. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Trade.
