Sparta, GA: privately issued, 2001 reissue of c1902 ed. 90pp. comb-bound 8vo: Fine. A reissue of a vintage local cook book from the historic Drummers' Home hotel in Sparta, Georgia, originally published in 1902. The Georgia Hotel Association said at that time that Roberts's (d. 1921) establishment was "the most popular hotel in Georgia." General Lafayette visited the inn that stood at this site alongside the Hancock County courthouse as long ago as 1825. A "drummer" was a traveling salesman.
