Originally published in 1916, it was written by Andrew Lee Dyke, owner of the Dyke Automobile Company - the first American auto parts business - which he had founded in 1899 in St. Louis.

Blue fabric covered boards with white print on the front and spine. Wear along the edges and at the corners consistent with the book's age. Front and rear endpapers show splits, but not as to significantly weaken the binding. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked. Contains 366 charts and diagrams in black and white, some with red highlights. The main body of the book runs 717 pages, followed by a 43 page Supplement on the Ford, a 16 page Supplement on the King 8 Model D, a 32 page Supplement on the Packard Twin Six, and a 23 page Index. Rather rare and over 100 years old. Not much use for a computerized, fuel-injected vehicle, but for the restorer of antique vehicles from 1916 or before, this could be an invaluable resource, not to mention a nice collector's piece.
