About This Item
London: Macmillan & Co., 1904. Book. Very Good +. Hardcover. Reprint. Three volumes: 1 - 1904 reprint of 1903 first edition; 2 - 1909 reprint of '06 first; 3 - 1920 reprint of '08 first. Green cloth boards nobly aged, inevitably rubbed, but lightly, extremities bumped, but not fatally, heads and tails shelf worn, but hardly damaged, incipient fraying, etc. Gilt dull but legible. Trust us: handsome. Joints and hinges entirely sound. Top edges dusty, naturally enough. All within clean, bright, tight. A dignified and very good set indeed..
