Laid in is an Autograph Letter, signed, of about 180 words, undated and written in pencil, from the author to Laurence Whistler who had reviewed the author's Cage & Wing in the T.L.S.: ''...I do not know all of your work but we printed four from you in Poems of This War... If ever you are in Cambridge I hope you will come & find me at the University Press. It will make an event in days that go steadily by; and Cambridge is a good town to visit if it is not raining...''. With the pencilled ownership signature of Laurence Whistler on the half-title. Covers a little marked and faded at edges. The A.L.S. is in excellent state. Very good.
