Pages 83 through 115 are devoted to early Connecticut Silversmiths listing their names, places of business, birth and death dates (if known) and any available biographical data uncovered by the author. Many of the pages within this volume remain unopened.

VERY GOOD condition. Illustrated with black and white line art in text as well as 33 plates, mostly photographic. Includes list of CT silversmiths (names, locations, dates and relevant details as known) who began work before 1830. Printed on Normandy Vellum deckle-edged paper. A clean copy, firmly bound copy - no markings other than author inscription. Front ends lightly toned; nickel-sized hole to first text leaf, not affecting text; occasional light toning along thumb edges, otherwise pages are fine. Sturdily bound in hardcover of grey paper over boards and black spine cloth lettered in silver. Cover has light wear and soiling, a light wrinkle to paper on front cover, spine ends rubbed; overall very good. Binding is firm, hinges intact, all pages secured.
