Courtenay (1803-1853) was a professor of mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania when he presented this report. Later he was a civil engineer involved in the construction of Ft. Independence at Boston harbor and professor of mathematics at the University of Virginia. In Near Fine Condition: disbound from a larger volume; clean and bright.
