(1st US) Slightly smaller book, fine black cloth, gilt lettering very bright on spine, four early and final end papers that are shiny gold with ribbon pattern--unique and beautiful--designed by Paul Bacon, 306 lightly browned heavy pages plus brief biographical note. DJ shiny gold background with Sixties-fancy black and blue lettering on front, small on back cover and top back, praise for Condon's books on back from New Yorker, Max Lerner, Saturday Review and others. DJ has two very tiny creases at top front edge and bottom front edge, creases at spine top right edge and top back edge, two micronicks at bottom back edge near tip, two light scratches at top back, tiny smudge at pages' bottom edge. Very Good DJ/Near Very Fine book.
