There are no discard stamps. The front flap from the dust jacket is glued to the inside of the front cover. The purcgase info is hand-0written on the dedication page. The binding is cracking between the front cover and the first page. There is n old price written on the first page in ink. The pages are clean, no tears or soiling. The pages and binding are tight. Pages are rough cut on middle page ends. ; Ex-Library; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 247 pages; In its simplest interpretation, THE EDGE OF DOOM is the story of a murder and a man-hunt. The scene is a city - any city in America; the time is today (as of 1949). You sit with young Martin Lynn in the drab room where his mother lies dead; you go with him to the man from whom he expects help. You see that help half-offered, half withheld; the bitter revolt flaring in Martin; the swift blow falling on the half-turned head. The killer steps, all unsuspected, into the streets of night.
