You sit with young Martin Lynn in the drab room where his mother lies dead; you go with him to the man from whom he expects help. You see that help half-offered, half withheld; the bitter revolt flaring in Martin; the swift blow falling on the half-turned head. The killer steps, all unsuspected, into the streets of night.
