Warsaw: Komitetu Budowy Pomnika ku Czci Poleglych Lotników/ Lucjan Zlotnick, 1932. First edition. Softcover. g- to vg-. Quarto. 121pp. [4]. Black and white photo-illustrated wrappers, with black lettering on the front cover. This work is an artistic monograph on the work of acclaimed Polish sculptor Edward Wittig (1879 - 1941), notable for his many prominent monuments in Warsaw. The work discusses Wittig's artistic development throughout his career, and is illustrated throughout with b/w photographic reproductions of artist's works. Specific attention is given to the famous work he created in honor of the WWI airmen, including images of the work in progress, completed one year previous to the publication of this book. This monograph was co-published by the "Construction Committee of the Monument in honor of the Airmen".

Text in Polish.

Wrappers with some rubbing and chipping to extremities, including along the spine. Chipping and tears to the top right corner of the front cover. Covers with some water stains smudges, and creasing. Interior with some chipping and tears to the bottom corners of pages 107-121. A few sporadic minor water stains. Wrappers in good-, interior in very good- condition overall. Scarce. Protected by modern mylar.
